Road taken to the Castle of the Moors, on the initiative of the King Ferdinand II, a restoration campaign of the Moorish Castle and its surrounding area was undertaken in 1839, this restoration programme reflected the romantic taste of the 19th century, expressing the love of nature and evoking the past.
